The Parol has become the most recognizable Christmas ornament for Filipinos not just in the Philippines, but in any Filipino community. City Councilman Eric Garcetti and other Parol Sponsors and community leaders joined us as we celebrated our annual Parol Lighting event in Historic Filipinotown.
Many thanks go out to our list of generous sponsors who have once again provided the Historic Filipinotown community with a beautiful holiday display celebrating our wonderful Filipino Christmas tradition.

2011 5K Run/Walk
The Historic Filipinotown Neighborhood Council announces the fifth annual Historic Filipinotown 5k Run/Walk to be held on August 6, 2011. Kick-off will be at 7:30 AM at 1925 W. Temple Street, L.A. 90026.
This event celebrated the 9th anniversary of the designation of Historic Filipinotown in Los Angeles. The 5K Run/Walk will cut through the heart of Historic Filipinotown with a rolling street closure along Temple Street.
